The excursion and dinner will take place on Thursday October 22nd.
Envisioned program:
- 2-4PM guided visit of Skocjan caves, an UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring one of the largest underground river canyons in the world. The guided tour involves approximately 3 km of walking and 500-800 stairs. The temperature in the caves is around 12 degrees. Please make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing.
- 5-6PM, walking tour of Štanjel Castle and the surrounding medieval village famous for striking stone architecture, peaceful atmosphere and sweeping views of the Karst landscape
- 6-7PM, wine tasting in Vina Kobal, walking distance from Štanjel
- 7PM dinner in Štanjel restaurant
Transport will be provided from/to Conference venue, leaving at 13.15PM and returning around 21h to Vipava.
Events will be free of charge for workshop participants. Accompanying persons are welcome and should be indicated when registering for excursion/dinner. Registration form will be sent by organizers a couple of weeks prior to the event.
